Invest in art appreciation

If you want to invest money you could buy a home, buy some shares or invest in art.

People need to know how much they would invest and for how long.

To make the most of an investment in art, people should keep their investment for at least seven years.

People need to spend real money rather than just token money.

Some artist’s paintings, such as Brett Whitely’s, have been known to return about 300 to 400 per cent.

Invest in mid-career artists because there is a growth in the contemporary artist market.

Not many people wanted to know about the artwork they invest in – most people just wanted to buy the name and be sure of a decent financial return.

To choose the art work that will hopefully get the best return, people need to understand the artwork, the reputation of the artist, and market appeal.

If people wanted to invest in art they should develop a relationship with someone who knows the market and appreciate the art work they eventually buy.

People really need to do it with spirit and interest.

www.kasarndesigns.com is a collector’s room for those who are interested in buying art.

Bibliography

Welcome to the bibliography of Kasarn Designs. Here you can find:
- Works that have been published
- Our brag book

Lilly Oncology On Canvas (London)

In 2006 one of our works was selected for the Lilly Oncology On Canvas exhibition in London. Only people who were affected by cancer were allowed to participate.

PeopleScape (Canberra)

In 2001 Australians across the country enjoyed a wide range of activities and events celebrating Australia's Centenary of Federation, including the National Finale to the Centenary Year, the Peoplescape.

The Peoplescape project celebrates the true spirit of Australia. Australians were invited to nominate someone whom they felt had significantly affected their life, their community or their country.

Thousands of successful nominees have been sent a life size, person-shaped cut-out to decorate, using whatever methods and materials best signifies the personality and achievements of the person they nominated.

The nominations received were for both known and unknown Australians. Their stories are of courage, loyalty, perseverance, generosity, innovation and often, of humour and irreverence - we know you will enjoy reading them. We chose Mary Reiby who appears on the $20 note.

These thousands of figures were installed on the slopes of Parliament House and Federation Mall.

Festival banner project (Taree)

We designed one of the 18 banners representing the Manning Valley for display on the side of the streets during the 1998 Taree City Festival.
